Privacy Policy dark-factory.space — Version 1.0 — August 8, 2026
This policy applies to the dark-factory.space domain and all services hosted therein.
1. Data Controller
Paolo Tanzi — Partita IVA IT 02611230349 Contact: privacy@lightweb.it
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to the dark-factory.space domain, a project by lightweb.it, and to the services currently available: general site pages, the Calculator (a cost estimator for converting a factory into an automated facility) and the Method & Sources page. A Vendor Directory area (a directory of industrial-automation component suppliers) is also planned, but not yet published. These services are not directed at minors under the age of 16, and the controller does not knowingly collect their personal data.
3. Collected Data and Purposes
3.1 Visitor GeoInfo
For all pages on the dark-factory.space domain, the system automatically records the following data for each visit: IP address; Country and approximate geographic area (IP-based geolocation); Date and time of the visit; Visited page; Browser User Agent. This data is collected and stored exclusively for access monitoring, aggregate traffic analysis, and abuse prevention. It is not used for individual profiling or marketing purposes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest of the controller in site management and security. Retention: Visit logs are kept for a maximum of 90 days and are then periodically deleted manually by the data controller.
3.2 Calculator
The Calculator estimates the cost of converting a factory into an automated facility. User-entered parameters (floor area, process type, number of people, heights) are transmitted via URL parameters and used exclusively to perform the calculation server-side within the scope of the single request. None of this data is saved to a database, retained beyond the response to the request, or transmitted to third parties. Only the browsing data described in section 3.1 applies here as well.
3.3 Vendor Directory
The Vendor Directory section is currently under development and has not yet been published. Once available, it will provide an informational, browse-only directory of industrial-automation component suppliers, requiring no registration. This policy will be updated before publication should the section involve the collection of visitors' personal data.
3.4 General Pages
General site pages (Home, Method & Sources) do not require registration nor do they collect specific personal data, with the exception of navigation data recorded by the Visitor GeoInfo system described in section 3.1.
4. Cookies
The site exclusively uses technical cookies that may be necessary for session operation. No profiling cookies, and no third-party tracking or analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Ads), are used. Technical cookies do not require consent under the Italian Privacy Guarantor's Provision and the ePrivacy Directive.
5. International Data Transfers
The controller does not carry out any transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) within the scope of the services described in this policy.
6. Data Security
All communications between the visitor's browser and the dark-factory.space servers occur via HTTPS/TLS protocol. Navigation data is stored on third-party hosting infrastructure, processed under a data processing agreement. The controller relies on the hosting provider as an external data processor for the storage of visit logs.
7. Rights of the Data Subject (GDPR)
As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the right to: Access your personal data held by us; Request rectification of inaccurate data; Request erasure of your data; Request restriction of processing; Object to processing based on legitimate interest; Request the portability of your data (Art. 20 GDPR), where applicable — this right does not apply to the processing described in this policy, which is based on legitimate interest and not on consent or a contract. To exercise these rights, write to: privacy@lightweb.it. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali - gpdp.it).
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated in the event of changes to the services offered or applicable regulations. The updated version is always available at dark-factory.space/privacy. Continued use of the site after the publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the same.
9. Future Services
New features added to the dark-factory.space domain — including any future publication of the Vendor Directory or the introduction of contact forms — will be governed by an update to this policy, published before the service is activated.
